Adding "s" to Words That End in Plain Old "y"

In this activity Learners are taught about the spelling changes that occur when adding "s" to a word that ends in "plain old y," which refers to the letter "y" used to represent a sound by itself, as in "carry," in contrast to the two-letter spellings with y, namely, ay, ey, and oy.
