Sharpen Reading Activities

In this activity, Learners are taught a strategy to help them sound out words that have a letter or letter combination that can represent more than one sound. An example of such a letter combination is "ow," which can represent the /ou/ sound in "cow" or the /oa/ sound in "show." Learners need to understand that sometimes it takes multiple attempts to figure out a word. Good readers don't always get things right the first try!
